The Rain is upon us.  Unfortunately, as you may have noticed, the last couple of months have brought so much rain.  The rain has been so strong that many believe our July was wetter than Londons.  Although we should be happy and joyful of all this rain, this can prove to be a problem when it comes to a house move.  With the wet weather, low budget moving companies might simply not turn up on your moving day.  Imagine the chaos this could cause.  I would hate to be on the receiving end of that.

Some just will not show up when it rains

We frequently receive calls from customers in distress on a daily basis, especially during the Perth winter.  Also from my experience, the companies that tend to not show up for their bookings are unbranded companies.  I know it’s a bit harsh but this is what I have noticed. To me this also makes sense.  Branded companies tend to last longer as they have invested a considerable amount of time into their business.  They have their reputation to keep and the last thing on their mind would be to do a no show.  Unbranded companies all sound the same.  They only use generic names and are less likely to be around in a years time.  If after using a cheap moving company and after three months, you do not remember their name then, it is probably best to move to a different removalist.

Imagine it is your moving day, it’s raining outside, and your moving company has sent you your SMS informing you that they are on their way.  You feel very relieved knowing that they are going to arrive but at the same time a bit nervous that your furniture will get wet during loading.  At Emmanuel Transport, we understand that your furniture and possessions are very important to you and therefore we do not take any shortcuts.  From our experience of the Perth winter, we do know that 99% of the time on raining days, there will be gaps in which you can load the truck.  While it is raining outside, we could load the garage or carport and as soon as the rain settles a bit, then we can carry on loading the moving truck.
